Elevado s fourth self-produced album, this world is on fire was conceived while on tour and features and electro-experimental combination of programmed beats, live tracks, four-track recordings and circuit bent fun sounds adding atmosphere to their first concept album. I was influenced by the Second Gulf War and reading Brave New World, said front man Justin Sias, ideas of paradise engineering and imperialism in a future-alien world began to parallel my own understanding and interpretations of present-day events. This world is on fire is a mediation on our worst nightmares of democratic impotence and media coercions, but we still maintain the ability to fall in love with ourselves and each other in a uniquely human way.
