A great score to a simple, primal film.

"The film WRONG TURN is a modern twist on both TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and DELIVERANCE, updating both films for a younger, newer generation. The film is quick and punchy, never outstaying its welcome. The film knows exactly what it is -- an experiment in primal horror and the human condition gone terribly wrong. Character moments are extremely rare, for they are not necessary, and that is exactly what the score offers with as much power as the film -- intense and brutal action.Cmiral takes nothing for a budget and turns it into a texturally rich score from organic sounds, instruments and synth music. As the film careens through a multitude of dangerous and thrilling situations, the score never lets up. By far my favorite tracks are "Wrong Turn Title", "Mountain Men" (absolutely spectacular action scoring), "Killing Mountain Men" and "Three-Finger is Back".The only fault I can think of is that the more relaxed moments in the score feel a little too relaxed... it becomes almost inappropriate, given the rest of the film (and music). But past that, this is a great piece of work from a talented composer."
