"This is a sweet sounding disk, and my 2yo daughter loves it. Everything is pretty much on the slow tip, which makes it a good pre-bedtime listen.
Just two caveats: The bit in the middle ("Rock & Roll) with kids blowing on kazoos and singing gets irritating very fast. And this CD is only 24 minutes long, which is a fine length for a child, but pretty skimpy for a full-priced CD. The whole thing would fit on one side of an LP!"
Great music for kids and their parents

"This is among the tops in the "Music For All Ages" genre. It feels to me like the intended audience is for children (i.e., there is no hidden irony in the lyrics or performances that says, "I know this sounds like a kiddie album, but we grown-ups know that I'm really singing about Woodstock man!"), but the easy sound and sugary innocence in this album makes it irresistable to any music lover at any age. Just simple songs delivered sweetly and simply. Clean acoustic recordings with minimal production. I think that my kids are burned out on this one; I'm not."
Not my favorite

"I have all of Elizabeth Mitchell's CD's and this one is my least favorite. There are a couple of cute songs on there, but we hardly ever listen to it, b/c my son absolutely loves her other CD's better (Little Bird & You are my Sunshine). If you're deciding which one to get, I'd go with the two above that I mentioned!"
Just right

"My kids and I like this album so much-- it's sweet and simple for kids, but also nice to listen to if you are an adult. The songs are (or remind me of) those I learned as a child, and the vocals and arrangments are great."
EASY LISTENING

"I received a Dan Zanes CD when my first child was born (HOUSE PARTY). I was looking for more music when I heard Dan Zanes in an interview discussing other musicians. It is he that turned me on to Elizabeth Mitchell. Her voice is incredible and she sings songs that both the young and old can enjoy. I keep all her CDs in my car and listen to them even when my kids aren't with me. Definitely worth getting. This will be listened to for years to come."
