"Liz Swados of off-broadway theatre fame and talent has applied her skills and creativity to presenting various jewish heroines in a musical theatrical type format. The music is "catchy", singable and enjoyable for the whole family. Her vision and perspectives, of heroines from lillith,to sarah,to ruth to queen esther offer viewpoints not usually mentioned or taught in the "normal" jewish tradition. our family dances and sings together to many songs on the cd. A great cd that combines foot tapping tunes that offer an alternative viewpoint of jewish history."
Intoxicating and Addictive

"I first heard parts of this CD performed on stage at a benefit for Beyond Shelter on New York City's Upper West Side in 1998. I had an epiphany at the back of Symphony Space. The next day I bought the CD. It was one of my best purchase decisions. The music and lyrics are addictive and intoxicating, they provide insight into the women of the bible and are musical drash-eem. How a person can get through the Song of Songs (Shir ha-Shireem), or the Book of Ruth's story of Ruth, Naomi and Boaz on the Jewish feast of Shavuoth without having listened to this CD is beyond me."
