CD ReviewsGreat music for children Lillerenee | 12/12/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "Timely delivery of an excellent CD in excellent condition.
This is a wonderful CD, especially for children 2-5 yrs. old. Drawing children from their own home and family to the neighborhood, and on into the big world is the charming adventure led by a beloved teacher with a special gift for communicating to children via games, poems, rhymes, rhythms, and dances. It is infectious and genuine. I was not sure that "my" boys would respond to this calm, old-fashioned call-and-response method of instruction when they exclusively watch Disney shows and Nickelodeon. However, to my delight, they were immediately captivated by Ms. Jenkins. The CD includes all kinds of musical activity. There are a couple of songs that make counting and subtracting lots of fun. I bought the boys their own kazoos which they love to play along with Ella Jenkins while they ride in the car. This is a good opportunity to introduce the children to instruments, and gives them an opportunity to match pitch and phrasing. " |
