"If you like white hot searing blues slide guitar, this album is for you. Elvin Bishop is in a class by himself when it comes to slide guitar playing. Always tasteful, always restarained and disciplined, and always right on the mark. This album is chockful of Elvin's trademark good times rock and rolling blues with a healthy dose of fun. "That Train Is Gone", "Slow Down" and "Mellow-D" are the real treats on this album."
Listen to the best- forget the rest!!

"Heres a chance for you to listen to probably the best slide guitar player alive.
Elvin is the real thing- he learned first-hand from Muddy, Robert Nighthawk, Earl Hooker - almost every legend that ever toched a slide to steel.. He didn't learn from listening to 4th hand licks from some wannabee blues guitarist, or some collegeboy moron intellectualizing the blues to death.
In fact, do yourself a favor and buy all of his CD's!! Listen to a guy play who studied at the feet of the masters, then developed his own unique and superb style of playing and songwriting!!"

"Elvin Bishop started out as a member of the original Paul Butterfield Blues Band and went on to bigger and better(solo)things. On this excellent 1998 offering he cuts to the chase and delivers the goodies:tough, straight ahead rock and roll and blues.Featuring stellar guests such as Joe Louis Walker, every track on this album counts!"
