"This was initally released in the year I was turned onto rock and roll. In March of 1958 I first listened to the premier top 40 station in Pittsburgh (KQV). Number one was Tequila and the "Wax to Watch" was Twilight Time. With my birthday fast approaching I asked my grandmother (the cash cow) to buy me some 45s. I got a half dozen including Too Much. I was disappointed in this Presley tune that didn't do to me what I thought it should. For Christmas, my grandmother made up for it and got me many more higlighted by Don't/I Beg of You. Loved both of the songs and throughout my high school days the only ballad that matched Dont's intensity for me was Maybe (Chantels). Those 2 songs forever put me on the path of loving unfulfilled and unrequited love songs."
