"I think "If I Can Dream" may be Elvis' most underappreciated song. This is a very powerful and moving song. It was featured in his 1968 TV special and released as a single soon after it aired. It just missed the top 10 in both the US and UK, but it signaled a return to recording serious music leaving behind the mediocre movie soundtracks that he had been recording in the prior years. This is a re-issue of the UK single, which featured "Memories" (also performed on the TV special) as the flip side - they were released as two separate singles in the US. Memories made the US top 40 peaking at 35. While both these songs are available on his 2nd to None CD, this is a nice collector's item for avid fans."
