"Elvis Now is one of if not his best 70's album...a classic no doubt.This tremendous work showcases not only Elvis' love for a variety of music but his God given ability to sing all kinds.We Can Make The Morning is the stand alone song from this set and ranks as one of his best songs from the 70s period.Help Me Make It Through The Night shows off his love for country music but it doesn't sound "country"...it has that Elvis sound.Until Its Time for You To Go is another great gem on this set and was one of the standards for his live shows in the early 70s...Sylvia is a powerful ballad that tells a great story...Elvis' voice is so strong on this song it'll rattle the glass if the volume is up...This entire CD is great.I love mine and listen to it often.If you don't understand this whole "Elvis Thing" you will after listening to Elvis Now."

"This is an ok album, not particularly strong, but not that bad either. It was released in early 1972 and peaked at 43 on the US album chart and would eventually be certified GOLD. It did better in the UK reaching 12 on the album chart. It produced one modest hit single "Until It's Time for You to Go" reached the top 40 on the US singles chart and top ten on the Adult Contemporary chart. It was also a top 10 hit in the UK. My favorite song on the album is an up-tempo, rockin' blues number "I Was Born About Ten Thousand Years Ago". "Put Your Hand in the Hand" is pretty good too. "Hey Jude" was recorded in the late 60's and it sounds like Elvis was just fooling around with it. His voice is really straining and he is making-up some lyrics. It should never have been released. The fact that it was, is just another indicator of how poorly managed Elvis was and how desperate his label was for studio recordings by him."
