"The soundtrack for Girls! Girls! Girls! was a big hit in the US when it was released in late 1962 reaching number 3 on the album chart and was certified GOLD by the RIAA. This CD includes one of Elvis' signature songs, Return to Sender, which was a huge hit worldwide. It peaked at number 2 on the US singles chart and was certified PLATINUM. It's flip side, Where Do You Come From, was a minor hit just cracking the top 100. The title song was a hit in other countries including France. This release includes numerous alternate takes not available on the original release."
Great soundtrack!

"When Elvis got out of the army, he made a bunch of great studio albums and soundtracks, he was at the top of his game while recording and it shows on this album! The sound quality is great, Elvis never goes off key or makes a mistake, he really studied these songs before coming to the stufio to record. It's hard to find a bad take of any of the songs, even the ones they didn't use are wonderful!
The only negative is that in the 90's when RCA re-issued his soundtracks on CD, they tried to fix something that wasn't broken, the LP sounded very dry, like Elvis was in the room with you singing live, no effects, it sounded very real! RCA then added in the 90's bigger room sound on one channel, which took away that same mood of the songs that you remember from the movie and from the original LP.
HAL BLAINE DOES HIS PERFECT BEST ON THE DRUMS ON SOME OF THE TRACKS."
