"I loved this film when I first saw it...I was only 10 at the time and I learned all the words to every song back then and remember them now at age 58

The CD is wonderful...good sound, clear and just plain lovely.."

Elvis at his best

"This was Elvis's very favorite movie that he made. From the first song "Crawfish" to the last, this is Elvis at his best. I bought this CD just for the Crawfish song. You wont be dissapointed if you loved the movie."

Elvis' best soundtrack and best movie

"If you want to watch Elvis' best movie and listen to his best soundtrack, this is the one. "King Creole" was made in 1958 right before Elvis went into hibernation for two years as a soldier in the U.S. Army. I've always felt that if he hadn't gone into the army, this movie would have kick started something even bigger in his Hollywood career. He comes off with a great James Dean image and really showed his acting ability on the stage. But enough about the movie, the soundtrack is just absolutely awesome!



You've got the rocking title track of "King Creole", along with "Trouble", "Hard Headed Woman" and "Dixieland Rock". Those four alone would make this a 5-star album. But then you add the very bluesy "New Orleans" that just makes the goosebumps jump up on the arms and then add some very solid ballads in the emotional heart tugger "Don't Ask Me Why" and even "Crawfish", along with the peppy "Young Dreams", and you have one of the Rock era's classic soundtracks ever.



If you want to hear Elvis at his best before his manager totally changed his post-Army image, and his career in Hollywood would never be the same, this is the album you want!"
