The marathon

"This is one of the best of the Elvis "fan club" releases. It features alternate takes of songs recorded in June, 1970. This session has come to be known as the "Nashville Marathon" because Elvis recorded over 30 songs at the session. Elvis recorded a very diverse range of material at these sessions, most of which is quite good. Elvis is in great spirits and great voice and seems to be having a lot of fun. Highly recommended for fans of the King."

Expensive but Worth It If Your An Elvis Fan

"This is a CD for the die-hard Elvis fan; that would be me! I grew up with this guy starting in 1956 and his music, for the most part is legendary. This CD, although not cheap, is well worth it for the songs being recorded without, and I emphasis the word WITHOUT auxiliary effects and over-dubbing for the final records that were released with the various songs being recorded here. Elvis music was always better when it was just him and his rhythm backing group of guitars, bass and drums. If you're into Elvis this is for you."
