Wow, Kentucky? Really?

"Ok so truth be told, I as many other fellow music enthusiasts, don't as I didn't with Emarosa, know the details of their origin. I never thought a band this amazing would have been from Kentucky of all places! All those petty details aside, origins do have some small to do with a band's integrity. If you held a comparison showcase of bands originating from Los Angeles or some other far corner of the earth, you'll find the much more humble beginnings tend to stem from the "sticks" regions of the world.

Whatever the reason for this, point is, Emarosa is in that bunch. I didn't start listening to Emarosa till late last year upon reference from a couple friends. I highly enjoyed the album "Relativity" as I did with the album "This Is Your Way Out" with their original singer Chris Roetter. Granted the "Relativity" CD was all impressive, I wasn't expecting it to be surpassed by their follow-up Self-titled that was to follow. From start to finish, this album screams and oozes emotion and rawness. It is by far one of the greatest emotional rock melodies. I love all the tracks, but "Pretend.Relive. Regret." really hits home hard for me. It takes a lot of trying for bands to get that "just right" chemistry with their vocals/vocalists and their instrumentals, they got really lucky with landing Jonny Craig. They all blend so well together it almost makes me cry.

This album is most definitely A MUST HAVE in your iTunes/CD collection. From start to finish, you'll never want the CD to end once it starts.

"Johnny Craig does it again with some incredible singing. Surprised there was no screams on this CD, but I'm not complaining b/c this CD still is very good musically and lyrically."

A bit different, but that's not a bad thing in this case.

"This CD sounds quite a bit different than the first one they did having Johnny Craig. I think, before they had a sound similar to Ivoryline, or Search The City... and now it's more of a unique sound. The songs are softer, and less mainstream in my opinion, but still very catchy and Johnny's voice is still as beautiful and amazing as ever. At first i actually didn't think i liked it as much, but it was just different and i didn't expect it. After giving it a few listens.. i love it, and i'd rate it slightly better than the previous release...

... Craig's voice is just perfect, he'll never make a bad CD.

Edit: Oh and just to add to what i said; if you like Jonny Craig, or Emarosa at all check out "Isles and Glaciers"... Craig and Chiodos' old vocalist together (a very good combination)."
