"The Emotions, like the Supremes of the 60's and the 40's Andrews Sisters, remains one of the best female singing trios ever. This set of their greatest (classics like "Best of My Love," "Boogie Wonderland," "Don't Ask My Neighbors," and "Rejoice") superbly illustrates that fact.Destiny's Child, eat your heart out!"

"My only complaint with this collection is that "WHAT DO THE LONELY DO AT XMAS" was not included! This is what a female group sounds like when they're not all sexed-up, hyped-up, with 3-ton egos getting in the way. The Emotions still perform to this day with the original line-up; no running off chasing solo superstardom. Maybe it was because they were family."
What ever happened to tight harmonies like this?

"In this day of manufactured singing stars, one need only have a listen to a couple of these songs to be reminded what true singers are supposed to sound like. These ladies were hot in the period (late 70s) just before MTV and the like started to rule. Now the focus is so much on looks, not actually having talent is readily forgiven. What makes this CD a great listen is it showcases the sisters beautiful harmonious blend in songs that well compliment their talent. Stand outs are "Blessed", "Don't Ask My Neighbor", "I Don't Want to Lose Your Love" and "Boogie Wonderland."Some, like myself, will also remember these ladies singing with a grittier, more soulful blend in the earlier 70s under a different record label. They recorded a song during that time ("So I Can Love You")that's still a favorite of mine. However, Maurice White of Earth, Wind and Fire saw something else in this group, and flipped that persona, introducing a more feminine side to these singers and vocal ranges that soared beyond what many thought they were capable of. This was a very successful association and are the years represented on this disk. This CD is well worth the buy."

"The first song I heard on the radio was "I don't want to lose your love". Right away, I was sold. Their voices are incredible, and the harmony, awesome. This CD is a collector's paradise."
