"Anyone who loves music would also be pleased to smiling while listening to this gifted performer's superb treatment of classics from Billy Eckstine, Nat King Cole and others. It's just great.I have enjoyed other of Engelbert Humperdinck's recordings over the years, but never considered myself a fan. I only happened onto his live performance of these songs one evening on the local public broadcasting channel. And, what a treat it was.I agree with another reviewer, too, that the live performance (now on DVD) just must be seen."

"This is a fantastic collaboration between Engelbert and Bebu Silvetti, whose lush, gorgeous arrangements and musical direction complement Engelbert's voice so well. Silvetti, a familiar name to Latin music fans because of his work with superstars like Luis Miguel and Rocio Durcal, creates his magic with these melodious songs, most of them classics, which are tailor made for Engelbert's romantic style, and beautiful baritone voice.
Recorded in 1995, nearly three decades after Engelbert hit the big time with "Release Me" in 1967, his voice is as smooth and rich as ever, and his interpretations nothing short of wonderful, with perhaps more depth than back in the days when he was, along with Tom Jones, one of the biggest headliners in show bussiness; favorites for me are his phenomenal take on "Unchained Melody", and a lovely film theme song not heard enough these days, "Love is a Many Splendored Thing".
There's a great rendition of Otis Redding's "(Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay", and the one up-tempo song is "Such a Night", which has a good old rock & roll feel to it.
Bravo Engelbert and Bebu, for this terrific endeavor; it's a recording that gets better with each hearing, and makes a worthy addition to the Engelbert Collection.
Total playing time is 43'41.

"Love Unchained by Engelbert Humperdinck is ageless. It what music and song is suppose to be. Each of his songs tell a story. Beautifully written and sung to perfection. You never get tired of hearing him. He puts so much emotion into each word and makes it sound as though he is singing to you personally. What a gifted gentleman and performer. I never get tired of hearing him. Being handsome is only an added gift to all his fans. I have been one for over 40 years. He is still amazing."
