"The Winding Road
Engelbert 's interpretations indicate he is still in fine voice and can match it with the best. The album's cover artwork in my opinion is very poor and the front picture of the artist is certainly one of the worst I've ever seen.Overall I'm a big fan of Engel's earlier Decca and European BMG recordings of the 60's,70's, 80's & 90's because of their orchestral accompaniment. His later recordings including this one lack the UMPH !!!! to go with his powerful voice. Not a bad effort however."

""Here's to you...and here's to me...and here's to the Brits and their wonderful words and melodies". Engelbert uses this toast in the notes accompanying the CD to express his feelings about this 40th anniversary masterpiece. It is obvious that he puts his heart and soul into every song and shares a personal comment about each to give insight into its meaning in his life. It is a family effort as Scott is the Associate Producer, Louise and Bradley do background vocals on several songs. The accompaniment is extremely well done and Enge's voice is superb. This is a must buy for everyone who enjoys "The Brits"."
Amazing. One of his best.

"So here I am sunbathing in October and listening to my radio. The next song I hear is "South of the Border" and boy is it Beautiful. The arrangements and vocal delivery are superb. I know it's Engelbert but I am a bit stunned he would choose that song to sing but I realize quickly why he did. It's a great great song. When I finally hear the entire album I start to think Grammy-Nod. Why? Every is cut is fantastic and Enge delivers James Blount's Good- Bye My Friend in such a way, as only he can, a tear starts to fall.
So, get this CD it is one of his finest and listen to the Where is Love? Winding Road Delivery, none finer.
Engelbert, Please don't ever quit. You are irreplaceable and Truly The Best Of the Brits and Best of them All."
