"When Enoch Light and his Light Brigade first hit the music scene, I was the Program Director of Honolulu's first and only FM stereo station, KAIM. These recordings caused our phone switchboard to light up almost every time we played them with enthusiastic listener response. That was back when they were on vinyl. These CD's capture the amazing quality that Light and his recording engineer pioneered that caused RCA,Columbia and so many other labels that attempted to 'copy' his incredible, HI-FI STEREOPHONIC acoustical results. I can heartily recommend Enoch Light's music of the Big Band Era as well as all the other projects he and his exceptional musicians produced back in the early '60's. They actually do a most remarkable series of performances of the 'Big-Band' standards, in my opinion, better than the big-band originals in musicianship. Acoustically, artistically, there is simply no comparison with Light and his Command and Project-3 labels. Outstanding to have these available again."
