"I was just breezing through some of the albums I bought years ago and I came across this. I bought this back when it was released first. It had all the listed songs and lyrics in Norwegian and German back then. Anyway, I kind of went away from Black Metal because it became so repetitive but this album is a breath of fresh air. It is pure class and for me these guys were true pioneers. I can't believe some fool gave it 2 stars!! This album is to black metal what Entombed's Wolverine blues was to death metal. Buy Buy Buy"

"apparently, danish metal fans have No ear-for good music, or they just have no knowlegde of viking metal/black metal period. I currently own Blodhemn and I am happy as hell. While i like Blodhemn because it has more trakcs on it, I still believe that this CD is worth buying. Enslaved is simply one, if not the most underrated band of our times."
