CD Reviews

Hardcore Fans Only...might be me, but I don't know...

(3 out of 5 stars)

"Upon first inspection I discovered that 9 of these tracks were featured on the first LIVE disc from '98 which featured mostly tracks from the first couple CD's. "Social Disease", and "Runaway" are here again which is okay I guess, Runaway being one of my fav EZN songs of all time perhaps. The song in place of Someday is "Let It Go" after I listened to the samples, which is a nice inclusion also, otherwise not much here for me since I have most of these anyway.

Was hoping for some "newer" songs (or at least more from the Ten/Parenphenalia/?/WTBI/7 albums also, but not much newer stuff here either, at least I had hoped for the next chapter of their career on this new LIVE CD, but it's old hat perhaps, just that it would be good to hear something like "Your Heart's No Good", or "Baby You're The Greatest", I could go on and on really.

If you are a completist for the band, perhaps you pick this up, if you are new to them, it's a nice way to hear some early tunes and some rarities, but they for the most part were already available in some form, so it may not be worth it. I suggest getting their newer stuff (studio) also if you want to hear more if you like what you hear here.

I was reading one review of one of their greatest hits here, and the person was saying they made their own CD with 50 songs on it of favorites, so I went through all their CD's I own and came up with a "Top 70" songs (I'll spare you the list), but it just amazes me still with such a high volume of great songs, they put this out again. Perhaps it's a new label with Crash...not sure, perhaps it's just a reissue of the old LIVE Cd with a slightly "Tweaked" song list, not sure....but this is not something I wish to purchase at all. Peace to the band and all, and they know I love em, but c'mon you guys!"
