"Link Wray, Mofos!!!!!!!! Alright, enough of that. This compilation features Link's days with Epic. Epic did try to clean Link up a bit and make him a little more radio friendly, but we all know Link can't be tamed. Sure, there are a few tracks here that'll have you scratching your head and thinking, "what the hell?" Epic stuck Link with a few covers of things he probably wouldn't ordinarily do and even put strings on a few tracks!! Don't let that scare you off coz there aren't that many tracks like this. And since we all know Link only rocked harder as time went on, it is kind of fun listening to these tracks for novelty sake. No, Link didn't spend a whole lot of time lollygagging with strings and junk, most of this set rocks like you'd expect Link to. In fact, some of his best work is to be found here, like Comanche, Walkin' With Link and Ain't That Loving You Baby. Yes, this set rocks hard, make no mistake about it. Some songs you'll end up hearing twice coz there are a few alternate takes of various songs on the second disc. As usual, Sundazed has taken great care with this package, and the sound is top notch. I wouldn't recommend it as an intro to Link(though it'd probably still make you a fan regardless), for that I'd suggest Rumble! The Best of Link Wray. That cd spans more years and record labels of his career. No, this is more highly recommended to Linkophiles(after all, who else would buy it? I can't see the average Black Eyed Peas fan having much use for a two disc set of Link Wray's Epic years). Of course, Linkophiles probably already have this cd. So, why the hell am I writing this review anyway? Anyhow, anyone who is reading this should do themselves a favor and look into this or any Link cd. 100% no B.S., badazz, take no prisoners, to hell with your momma rock and roll."
