"This disc is one of my all time faves. I was a Deejay at the time of it's release and I received a promo of "Chains of love" from Warner Bros. This was years ago, now, but it still takes me away after all these years. This was one that just wouldn't go away; I mean we just didn't get sick of it for quite some time, because thee were several versions which only extended it as a hit "Classic" feel good ride. And as an extra bonus, "Don't Suppose" The Country Joe Mix, was a surprise keeper on the "B" side with a mellow but catchy flow that I used to play to get the evening going. I wonder how many other club jocks played that one? As I recall, I got quite a few inquiries from bystanders wanting to know who did the song because it had hooked them into loving it's unusual ryhthm and refreshing change of pace. I was jazzed because the artists were fairly unfamiliar to most everyone yet and I really beleived in their sound, their musical abilities and their extraordinary potential. Was I right, or was I right?
Ya see gang, gays aren't as bad as some of you would have others beleive. In fact, some of the best grooves ever pressed are done by gays and lesbians and 1/2 , Andy Bell, of the Erasure duo is among the greatest of them.
If you can find this one, I'd definitely reccommend adding this Remix EP of "Chains of Love" by Erasure to your collection of classics. I'm just tickled pink that I was able to locate it. I wore my original promo copy out long ago. I just couldn't erase the memory of how good this record makes me feel so I had to see if there was one available somewhere. Try it; if you like Erasure, you'll love this one!!..."
