"This album is so enjoyable that you want the music to to continue and continue...
The lineup is
Eric Alexander Tenor Sax
Mel Rhyne Hammond B3
Bobby Broom Guitar
Joe Farnsworth DrumsThis is more sort of a hard bop album "spiced up" with some hammond grease.Everyone seemd to have been very inspired during this session,,Joe Farnswotth gives a superb support during the entire session. Bobby Broom is an interesting guitarplayer,,he comes out of the George Benson Wes Montgomery School..but during the years he added some more modern touch to his playing.
In 2001 he did record the the fantastic album called MODERN MAN.
Eric Alexander has a warm round tone that is very attractive and stays mostly within the chord progession even on a modal tune like Trippin.
All tunes stands out....but the versions of the wellknown "Good Morning Heartache" and the bosaa "That s all" is beautifully executed.
This album was recorded in Holland in April 1995."
