"First 5 tracks are "out takes"of racks which appeared on the IRS Animals REUNION album. They are much better thanks to JOHN STERLING. He took painstaking care to help mastermind arrangements/production! JS was former guitarist/co-writer/arranger (the brains behind THE ERIC BURDON BAND and Eric's better 70's and very early 80's solo CDs). "Tango" is suave and could be hit with Eric ad-libbing and luscious refrain. Title Track is a M-O-N-S-T-E-R track and much more powerful than the version Animals did -musicians are quite better - so is ERIC thanks to the production and engineering! Great Live version of "Tobacco Road" from Europe (song that appeared on ERIC BURDON DECLARES WAR (Eric Burdon & War, 1971, MGM) But check out the great unexpected surprise! A bizarre and great psychedelic live track that is mesmerizing as follows: No this ain't the Yardbirds, though I always wondered what it would have been like to have Eric and Jeff Beck together in the old days-they'd blown the roof off the auditoriums. Remember Jeff & Roddy doing "You Shook Me"? Wow. Could you imagine if it were Burdon `n Beck? The Man comes up with a unique sequence of lyrics: "Like a moth to a flame I'm Coming For Your Love." Tender and slow, "I'm Comin' I'm Comin' For Your Love..... Enough of that says Eric. Okay gets the ball `n chain out "Yeahha, Baby" Guitar subtly mimics his subtle string pf "Come in For Your Love" love vocal nuances. Eric brings the band down slow Now it gets psychedelic "Baby Can You Hear Me" (echo chamber) and band goes psychedelia-psychotic with Eric's dubbed "Yaaaaah hurls and whirls"The utter silence. Is it over? Eric comes slow "Can You Heeeaaar Me"? Piano answers softly . Eric answer wit a wild thrust and disappearing into silence, again. Then the piano gets going. Eric adlibs I living reverberation! Now we get a. Swirling guitar quiet storm and ½ beat piano. Eric masterfully combines the psychedelia of "LOVE IS" with the dark side of blues. Strange, but doesn't sound dated. Stranger than "Strange Days.". Eric plays with th silence again then outta nowhere comes up with " If I Ever Get Back My Eye Sight I'll Go Blind.". A dark lyric, and now its rainy guitar comes the . and Eric does like no on else, makes magic. Gets a bit more strange and the echo chamber singing gets more vivid after another burst of silence. Eric plays dead again, and this last time he comes back and echo-chamber's it." I'm Here" and. It's over. Twelve songs . Hard to believe it. Sixty-two minutes of Eric's hypnotic magic makes time fly... so play it again, and again, and again."
