Eric Clapton is one of the most talented and versatile guitarists and performers on the planet. This CD is evidence that he's matured as an artist since his days with Cream and other groups. Tears in Heaven is heart-wrenching and hauntingly beautiful and personal - written after Clapton's 3-year old son died in a tragic fall from a hotel balcony. Change the World is a similarly poetic and beautiful ballad.

The emotion on this CD is powerful, if you listen with your heart.

"IMHO, this is the worst of Clapton. His early music was awesome, this music is main stream pop @rap they play on the radio. This version of Layla is terrible. It lacks the passion and desperation of the original. Somehow I think if Pattie Boyd had heard this version over the original she would have thought he was kidding around. You want to hear some good Clapton? Check out Cream, Derek and the Dominos, Blind Faith, The Bluesbreakers or just some older stuff before the radio friendly muzak started coming out."
