"Bode is a treasure. If you like Krall and Jones, you'll probably like Bode, maybe better. A lovely first effort, with a warm, honest, and engaging voice that ranges over a wide variety of material with panache. Some may not enjoy all the material equally -- I much prefered the "Tonite I'll Be Staying Here with You," "Time After Time," "You," and "Gee Baby" to the perhaps-a-little-precious "Junior and Julie" -- but if you listen to female vocalists, I expect you'll be putting Bode on a *lot*. As a bonus, "Don't Take Your Time" is a nice recording, which throws a good soundstage. As an added bonus, Bode is a warm and unassuming performer, quite disarming; make a point of seeing a show. Q: Why only 4 stars, then? A: Miles et al., "Cookin" is 5 stars. Big things on the way, I expect, and the present offering gives a lot of pleasure. Thx."
Effortless and accomplished

"I first heard Erin's amazing voice about seven years ago, and was thrilled to find that her album-debut had been released. She has the most sincere and unforced voice I've ever heard, and the personality to match. There is so much warmth and feeling in her tone, and the title track is already one of my all-time favorite songs. If anyone deserves to be recognized, Erin does. Finally, Erin! I look forward to your next album!!!"
Magnificent voice

"Saw Erin Bode at the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia . . . beautiful voice . . . down to earth, very sweet in person . . . expect her to make it big. Soon."
