"This cd is compiled from recruiting shows that Ernest Tubb did in the sixities for the US Navy. These shows featured country music stars sandwiched around recruiting pitches(which have been removed). The album has Tubb singing and introducing songs by such luminaries as Tex Ritter, Hank Snow, Faron Young and T Texas Tyler and two lesser known singers, Carolina Cotton and Smiley Burnette. This cd features lesser known hits and rarities by the artists instead of signature songs. Some of the best performances include Hank Snow's Rhumba Boogie and ET's Jimmy Rodgers Last Blue Yodel.This album has 24 songs not counting the opening and closing instrumentals. This is a very good value for the price."
