"This record is a compilation of numerous 45's and Ep's issued in the 70's by Ersen, a singer and violinist that was at the heart of some of the seminal Turkish rock music of the era, having collaborated with some of Turkey's best known rockers-notably Mogollar, who back him up on several of the tracks.

The tracks are all great examples of what make Turkish rock from the 70's great: interesting instrumentation including electric saz and violin alongside the fuzz guitars, odd time signatures, rocking bass playing, funky beats, expressive vocals that one need not know the Turkish language to enjoy.

As part of B-Music/Finders Keepers "Anatolian Invasion" series, all of which are worth checking out, the notes are extremely well researched and informative. The inclusion of the photos of the original picture sleeves is a bonus, situating the music in its time. As usual, the B-Music/Finders Keepers people have done a top shelf job of reissuing.

This record is a winner from beginning to end and highly recommended to fans of Edip Akbayram, Baris Manco, Erkin Koray, Selda, Mogollar, and other Turkish rockers from the era."

"Another great reissue by Andy Votel, this is Turkish Rock with a bite.



Ersen's music contains all the minor key melodies and aribic scales you would expect from Middle Eastern Psych from this period. But this album is a cut above: lots of obtuse time-signature changes amd fat, fat basslines. The music is so propelled, it could almost pass for 90s dance music.



Yet, each song is well composed, and the playing extremely deliberate.



Crafty songs that rock like motherfu-kers.
