The album features classic tracks such as 'Moody (Spaced Out )', 'The Beat' and 'Dance', and many more. ESG are the Scroggins sisters Renee, Valerie and Marie now joined by daughters Nicole and Chistelle who all hail from the South Bronx. Their place in history is legendary placing them at the heart of Post-Punk, Hip-Hop and Dance music. Soul Jazz Records have recently released their new album "Keep On Moving" as well as "A South Bronx Story" and "Step Off". 2006.

"Surprised no one has reviewed this album yet because it is smokin'. I'm not a popular-music historian so I'll spare the attempt at discussing a musical version of the Origin of Species; everything is derivative so why bother. So since everything is derivative, it is helpful to discuss when something really interesting breaks through. Of course, I thought Luscious Jackson was interesting when I first heard it. And then I heard ESG for the first time -- yes, I'm from the midwest, whattya want me to do about it?

It begs the question why it takes so long to be exposed to foundational popular music, but when you find something for yourself for the first time it doesn't matter how long it took, you're just glad to have discovered it. Is this album that good? Maybe, judge for yourself. But it is pretty good, and if you have never heard ESG before, it's better than pretty good."
