"i am completely baffled that nobody has taken the time or initiative to praise this incredible band and album. i purchased this on a whim and i don't regret it one iota. i only wish i'd stumbled upon this earlier. this quintet (drums, guitar, bass, marimba/vibraphone, trombone) rocks with a zany twist, utilizing all of their instruments to blend into a groov-a-licious cacophony. tight rhythms, mixed meters, great musicianship, and alot of fun obviously went into this album's creation. i never liked the trombone very much until i heard this band.
highly recomended for anybody wanting to listen to something a little different. also recomended for those individuals who listen to mr. bungle, primus, zappa, zorn or estradasphere.
amazon says it is released on the 'mammoth' label, but my copy lists 'prawn song' (les claypool's label)."
