"I think this release originally came out in the early 1970's, and was on Warner Bros. It's produced by songwriter-poet Van Dyke Parks (who worked with Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys). You gotta hear the way the band plays the Jackson Five hit "I Want You Back." Lots of fun! Some of the other CD highlights include "Simple Calypso," Khatchaturian's "Sabre Dance," Simon and Garfunkel's "Cecilia" and "Aquarium," which is from Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Animals." Don't forget the picture on the CD cover..."

"No bogus techno beats on this reissue. Van Dyke Parks produced a real gem with this one. Of course the real "diamond in the rough" is the group itself. Genuine Carribean spirit with a more than generous dose of lyrical irony. Apeman's the best! The sultry babe on the cover's not too shabby either! Enjoy!"
