Could have been 5 stars if it did not have a couple of duds

"Evelyn Champagne King, one of the premiere artists of the 1980's has done it once again. The CD starts out with the go-go single Flirt, which was a top 5 R&B hit. The seductive Kisses Don't Lie is by far the best single on the CD, and is personally one of my all time favorites. It is rounded up with the dance single Hold on to what you've got, and the jazz single When Your Heart Says Yes. This CD clearly shows that Evelyn should probably move into more contemporary R&B, because her voice is so dominating and soulful. If it were not for a couple of duds such as Whenever You Touch Me and Stop It, this could have been a classic."
Worth It For Two Great Songs

"Ms. King is my favorite R & B singer. Her best work is the ultra-classic, Smooth Talk, her first album-every song a gem. This one has two great songs: "Flirt" and "Hold On To What You've Got"-both should have been dance club hits with lots of remixes. Worth purchasing for these songs alone."
ONE TRACK MAKES THIS AN ESSENTIAL KING BUY

""Kisses Don't Lie" is the definitive King ballad. Sexy and straightforward, the singer dives headfirst into a realm that she never had before in her more familiar dance hits. If there had been more like this one, the singer would be up there with the likes of Patti, Aretha, and Whitney."
Can you flirt?

"I was so happy when Evelyn returned with this one after a three years, Flirt was all over the radio, reaching the top five on the R&B charts! I was very disappointed when the LP didn't do well, because it has some of Evelyn's strongest singing, I love this cd."
