Surprise.

"The early versions of some of their well-known songs stand up just as well as the released versions. "I Wonder If I Care As Much" and "When Will I Be Loved" come to mind as stand-outs. The big surprise here is that each of the previously unreleased tunes (of which there are many) is written and performed EXPERTLY. JUST as good as anything they put out. Ya gotta get this one."

"I was sure surprised by this release. I would only recommend it to fans who are completing there everly collection. Phil and Don sound great in these early demos all from the 50's except "It's all over" from 1976. These are all acoustic versions with lots of reverb on alot of them. To hear a early version of "I wonder if I care as much" is worth the album alone. I personally like most of the original master recordings better but one exception is "dancing on my feet" which Phil wrote and recorded, the warner version was one of the worse things the everlys did. The best thing about this album is the never before heard songs phil and don do together."
