"I love this CD. My husband gave me this as a gift for the holidays as he knows I am a huge fan of anything Tolkien, and I have to say that I am thoroughly enchanted by Everstar's debut release "Enchanted Journey". This music transports me right to the heart of Middle Earth and the beautiful, classically styled melodies serve as a musical guide leading me into the various and distinct realms of this enchanted world. David & Steve Gordon have done an amazing job both producing and playing on this recording and the cover artwork is really magical. In exploring the liner notes I discovered, that in addition to the Gordon's, this group is made up entirely of elves from various parts of Middle Earth.....completely fascinating. Enchanted Journey has me thoroughly captivated by its alluring musical spell. I definitely believe......and look forward to hearing more musical magic from Everstar."
An Amatuerish Mess

"Like many, I am enchanted by all things Middle Earth, and I will buy almost anything marked "inspired by." I am also a big David Arkenstone fan, and bought this shortly after getting his Middle Earth CD. I had high hopes, and am rather forgiving if I can feel where the composer and artist is coming from.
That said, this CD is an awful mess. Most of these songs are jumble of jangling guitars/harps or whatever synth patches they used. They have little discernible melody and no motion.
I hadn't listened to the CD in a few months, so I popped it in again yesterday, thinking perhaps I'd just had a bad day or eaten something that didn't agree with me last time. No such luck. I couldn't even finish it this time. Sorry to those who have posted positive reviews, but there is much, much, much better out there."
The Musical Magic of the Rings

"As a huge Tolkien and fantasy genre fan I am really enjoying this title from Everstar. It's clear from the cover art that this band is comprised entirely of Elvin beings with a little help from producers David & Steve Gordon, whose music I also really admire. These tracks depict the musical adventures of Frodo and company as they move through Middle Earth on their continuing journey in their quest to defeat the dark powers of the Ring. This music practically sparkles with enchantment and is sure to be enjoyed by fans of the Ring epic as well as listeners who just enjoy good Celtic based music. Put on your headphones and let yourself be transported to another world."

"A friend had another Everstar album, Yuletide in the Shire, and I was really intrigued. I found this out and about and was very pleasantly surprised when I got it home. I am not "middle earth" bound but found this CD to be magical and lovely. This beautiful blend of Renaissance and New Age is brilliant."
