God Bless THIS Child

"This CD gives me chills. Listen to "God Bless The Child", and "Round Midnight" and you will see exactly what I mean. The arrangements are by Don Costa who worked with Steve and Eydie through the years as well as other famour artists like Frank Sinatia, and Connie Francis to name just a few. The sound is full and wonderful and Eydie takes center stage with her powerful and emotional vocal.

Eydie has had many solo albums from the 50's until now but this one ranks near the top for me. "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do" has never had a better reading and "Come in From the Rain" is made an instant classic. Listening to this song makes you forget all other versions, Eydie makes it all hers. "Since I Fell for You" will take your breath away with its longing and aching.

The power, the punch, the whisper, the tear, Eydie conveyed them all. And even more than that, she did it with such ease, like water running over a stone. If you have 20 bucks to spend and you are looking for something to lighten your evenings or make you appreciate all that life and love have to offer, and your are wanting an hour to yourself to reflect, GET THIS CD. What else can I say..................."
