The tracks on this CD were just beautifully arranged, and preformed. I wasn't quite sure for "Love Will Tear Us Apart" since it was by Joy Division, but Fall Out Boy preformed it amazingly. My favorite track, and the shortest one at that, has got to be "it's not a side effect of the cocaine, i am thinking it must be love" It's written brilliantly.
The DVD:
Only a small section of this DVD is similar to Release The Bats, but the rest (story, videos, preformance, and cutting room floor) were quite good. I especially enjoyed the acoustic preformances of Saturday, Grenade Jumper, Dead on Arrivial, and more.
If you love Fall Out Boy or just acoustic music, I strongly incourage you to buy this."
Beautiful Acoustic CD

"To the last reviewer, perhaps this is the more sensitive side of Fall Out Boy, but is that necessarily bad? Their acoustic stuff is AMAZING, or are you too obsessed about whether this is "real" punk music or not? Honestly, doesn't it matter more the MATERIAL IN THE CD, not the LABEL? Everyone has their own opinions on music and I'm going to express mine....
This CD rocks. Hands down. The music is heartfelt and you feel as if they're playing a private concert just for you. I like Fall Out Boy's other stuff, too, but I bought this after listening to "Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy" first and fell in love with it instantly. The other stuff is just as amazing, too, so you won't be disappointed. The DVD is good, as well - you get an inside view into their band. This cd is worth the money if you like acoustic-ly driven music. Give it a try even if it isn't your thing. :)
Overall point: I LOVE THIS CD. Emotive and raw acoustic, this music really makes you think. The lyrics are deep. They express careful planning, as does the acoustic riffs. I recommend this whole-heartedly. "

"An acoustic CD. Just a couple guitars and Patrick's voice. Yet it's not that simple, it's so much more than that. The fact that the songs are stripped down to the bare minimum make them so much more intimate. These songs have some of Pete's best lyrical work to date. He takes simple concepts and basic emotions and turns them into clever analogies and stories that the rest of us commonfolk can only dream of being able to come up with. Patrick's voice can put you to sleep it's so easy to listen to. I've heard the electric version of "Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner" and I honestly cannot decide if I like it better acoustic or electric. For only being an EP, this CD is better than a lot of full length projects bands work on forever and promote for months before they're released. If you've been a Fall Out Boy fan for a while, buying this will curb your appetite until they release "From Under The Cork Tree" (their current full length project they're recording). If you're just getting into the band or maybe haven't even heard anything by them, I don't see how you couldn't fall in love w/ the band after listening to "My Heart Will Always be the B-side to my Tongue"."
Great acoustic EP

"This EP is for people who like acoustic music or people who really like fall out boy. The dvd that comes with it is a nice bonus for fans.
Impressive songs include "My heart is the worst kind of weapon" and "Love will tear us apart".
"Its not a side effect of the cocaine..." is sort of mediocre in my opinion, but that is just in comparison to the other excellent songs on the ep.
I didnt really like the verses in "grand theft autumn"...they just didnt sound that great vocals wise...the rest of the song is good though.
Fans will also appreciate the acoustic version of "nobody puts baby in the corner", a song that has now moved on to be a full band song on "from under the cork tree"
If you like this acoustic EP, I also suggest you check out The Make Yourself At Home EP by The Starting Line"

"Ok, so i have been following Fall Out Boy since Warped Tour '03 and "Under The Cork Tree" is a great album along with their "Take This to Your Grave." One thing you must realize however, is that these are the origional versions of the songs such as "Nobody Puts a Baby in the Corner." "Under the Cork Tree" came out after this album, so bashing on them is ridiculous. I think that it is a great album and it shows that Patrick has a diversity of vocal talents. A+"
