CD ReviewsFang Island Inspire Keller Madison | Los Angeles, CA | 02/24/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "Fang Island have created what I am sure will be one of the most talked about albums of 2010. With upbeat songs that brim with anthemic guitar riffs and group vocals, this album is amazing from start to finish. Standout tracks are Daisy, Life Coach, The Illinois and Treeton. The latter two meld together to create an epic, inspiring rock jam that invokes visuals of fireworks on the 4th of July or waking up on Christmas morning as a kid. Awesome album, and a great debut from Fang Island. Check it out!" Came out of nowhere. Tyler | Ontario, Canada | 03/09/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "I decided to check out Fang Island after seeing that they were touring with Red Sparowes. I opened up their myspace page and saw a picture of a little girl dressed as a fairy fighting a man dressed as a castle. I was intrigued. After hearing Daisy, I was sold. Absolutely sold. This album is pure magic - unlike anything I've heard before. A mixture of excellent musicianship and great songwriting creates something very special here. There's not a single weak track on the album. The beautiful conclusion to Sidewinder contrasts heavily and beautifully. Davey Crockett escalates in to an absolute behemoth of a song. The whole album is incredibly lighthearted. I haven't enjoyed listening to a new album this much in quite some time. Fang Island is most definitely an early contender for my favourite album of the year." Happy Epic-ness Kyle Freeland | Mountain Home AFB, Idado USA | 03/29/2010 (4 out of 5 stars) "About 10 hours or so into listening to this CD, I gotta say this is a new kind of Epic in guitar and vocal harmonizing. Didn't think much of it the first listen through, its grows on you fast. It pulls you one way with a straight 2 minutes guitar solo then cuts into vocals and nintendo sounds. Some one that posted a review said it best, "Inspiring rock jams that invokes visuals of fireworks on the 4th of July or waking up on Christmas morning as a kid". Very inspiring stuff, the only thing missing from this cd is more vocals, songs like "daisy" and "Patterns on the wall" are worth the $6 for the MP3 album. Looking forward to seeing what this group does next.
