"I saw these guys live, playing with Train, and bought a cd at the concert. "Best Of Me" is one of the best songs I've heard in a long time, and it's quickly worked its way up to the top on my favories list. If you like Dave Matthews, Hootie, and Sister Hazel, this is another one for the collection. A very original sound, and well worth buying."

"I saw far too jones open for Edwin McCain about a year ago and was blown away--I bought this cd before I left the show! They have an excellent sound--the entire cd is incredibly strong! The song "Best of Me" is probably the best of ftj so far. They definitely deserve a legion of fans and much success! Check them out!"
A great band that got stiffed

"Far Too Jones was a little band I discovered in about 1997 after hearing "Best of Me" on the radio in Chicago. The band had lots of potential, but alas it was not to be realized. After the single "Best of Me" hit minor radio success, the band started to work on a follow up album that is title "Shame and Her Sister", another great album, but their record company restructured and most, if not all, of the smaller bands were dropped. Back to the album though. The album has a unique sound that few bands come close to comparing to, and none duplicate. From their haunting ballad of "Close to You" (A personal favorite) to the upbeat rock/pop sounds of "Best of Me" the album blends ingeneous lyrics with fun melodies for sounds that make you never want to take the CD out of your player. Other songs such as "As Good As You" (another minor radio hit) and "Nameless" are fun songs that you will want to listen to again and again. Mostly a rock band, although I will admit some pop shows through, Far Too Jones is a CD that you should give a try. Who knows it may start the same love affair with the band it started for me. Also make sure to check out their new band called the clear, they will soon have their new album up for free on their website for people to download.Happy Listening!"
Breakthrough for Raleigh, NC band

"This is a very solid rock album. FTJ's sounds a lot like Soul Asylum circa Grave Dancer's Union--catchy pop melodies toughened up with grundgy power chords, howling solos, and gruff pack-a-day vocals."As Good As You," "Middle of Me," "Falling Back Down," "Best of Me," and "The One" make this album worth a listen. If you're ever down in Raleigh, NC, look 'em up."
GREAT GREAT album!

"I saw these guys at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida with My Friend Steve (which also ROCKS)! They were incredible! They put on a great show live... if you ever get the chance to see them--DO IT!! Growing up in NC, I just *HAD* to support these guys. I didn't hear the whole cd until I got home and when I did, I was floored. Amazing. Buy the album... you'll be glad you did! I was. :)"
