Synopsis

Album Description
The ample Jon is not your average beat technician. His extraordinarily varied productions set him apart from those who focus on one type of beat or style of music. He has found success with hip hop, soul-touching relaxed grooves and more abstract soundscapes. He is probably most famous for his work as a member of Cincinnati?s Five Deez, whose albums Koolmotor and Kinkinasti have been both critically and popularly acclaimed. Jon is also a member of 3582 with J.Rawls and contributed significantly to Pole?s new self-titled album on Mute. His two solo albums, Humanoid Erotica and Wave Motion, prove Jon is equally adept as a solo artist. Lightweight Heavy, Fat Jon?s third solo offering, is a wonderful concoction of blunted beats and hearty melodies. It reflects the artist?s ability to induce feelings and evoke moods, as well as a flair for creating cuts to get toes tapping and move the dance floor. From the gentle piano led intro of "Talk to Me" through the entire album, Fat Jon?s subtle use of vocals and his bass heavy beats take you on a heart felt journey.

..........Very, Ill, not Wave Motion

"I'm really feelin' it. The piano intro on the first track, "Talk to Me" really sets the tone for the cd. The next track, "Dreamers" is something you would find in a dream state. That is what is fantastic about this cd. It puts the listener in a dream-like futuristic world. Also, it can be used for some great background sex music. The prime example of that is #7 "Torn Again".

"Torn Again" is a song that you share a very intimate moment WITH YOUR MAIN SQUEEZE ONLY!!! That song really exilerates passion, FO REAL!!!!!!!!

I Know, because I done did the d@mn, thang!!!!

On "Beyond Love" the melody is a hip-hop electronica funked-out version, of pure instrumental greatness.

This cd is a great album for these things:

1) Sex

2) Driving

3) Thinking

4) Becoming one with the earth's "trees"

All and all its nice. It's definitly better than "Humanoid Eroctica", but "Wave Motion" its not. Its worth buying.

Peace!!!!!!!!!!!

"Fat Jon's beats make anyone wanna just Vibe out and relax. Either your on your bike, taking a walk to your next class on your Universty or college campus, or Sippin' a coffe at a coffe house. This Is that Music that Most RAP FANS haven't crossed paths with, but when they do they'll love his beats!!!

PLUS!! Fat Jon Is one of the Beatmakers behind Adult-Swim's Samurai Champloo..{ Infact the ANIME's theme opener is produced by him} I give Him props and Not just because were both from Ohio.
