CD Reviews

Remix like it should

"faust exists for 30 years now and still they are capable of making innovative music. celebrating their birthday artists like kreidler and the residents did a brilliant job in recreating their music. the results are sometimes astonishing and always more than interesting.
an absolute must for everyone who thinks that there is hope for new music"

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Above average(very good,in fact)thirteen track collection of remixes from Faust's 1999 'Ravvivando' CD (see my review). Artists that did a rather fine job on the mixing board of such include the Residents, Trillion and Mathias Schaffhauser, among others. Tunes I was most impressed with were "T.Electronique", "Wir Brauchen Dich #6", "D.I.G." and pretty much all three versions of "Carousel II". Pure electronic / industrial bliss to be found here. Just as good as the modern-day krautrock classic 'Ravvivando". A should-have."
