"Just found this album by accident recently and sorry I did't hear it sooner. Joe Sample gets away from smooth jazz and back to his Crusaders roots with a brassier horn section courtesy of Oscar Brashear and company. Too bad he didn't follow it up... but a welcome reminder of what once was. For a similar funk sound, check out new LA band Breakestra or the new Cold Blood CD "Transfusion"."
