Synopsis

Album Description

A hard swinging set of original jazz compositions that is complemented by some distinctive performances of unusual covers. The music evokes the freedom funkiness and focus of the Charles Mingus workshop, but with a clear 90s flavor. The band plays it straight ahead with burning riffs on such tunes as Rage Against the Machine, but can also punch out an authoritative New Orleans sound on St. Julienne and a calypso of If I Ever Had to Dance.
