"Ok, the other review below me (the only other review) is by some cat claiming blood, and yes I grew up with crips so I have to offer the other side folks, damn how tight is it that the only two reviews are one blood one crip? Anyways.. ok.. he says he doesn't listen to the crip side and that the D.E. (first degree) made this CD for the crips and the blood have bad rappers/beats.. sorry folks, it just isn't like that. The crips aren't that great either.. ALL of these rappers are hella underground folks, the bloods AND the crips, who the hell ever heard of T-Macc? unless you're WAY down with the Sactown underground, you don't know who he is either. man this CD is rippin though, i love it. Tha D.E. First Degree put this together for the truce, man i don't know if the truce is workin out cuz i'm from San Diego, where the bangin isn't as heavy as the slangin, and we don't keep tabs on the folks from Sacramento, but either way man this CD is tight and I hope that fools have stopped dumpin on each other for as long as the truce was supposed to last... i don't know though man, no one reports on the gang warz in the news, so... peace out to all, it doesn't matter blood or cuz, this one is bangin.. to the bloods don't trip the crips are NOT favored on this cd like this other review said, to the crips man this whole CD is tight, even the slobs, some Mr. Docc samples on tracc 5, damn cop this cuz."
Another CD to add to your 'Blood/Crip' Collection

"When I first saw this CD, I was interested. Ever hear of Sacramento? Of course you have. The city made notorious by Garden Blocc Crips such as X-Raided, Luni Coleone, Brotha Lynch Hung, etc. But thats all thats been heard out of Sactown, so I was down to hear some of the 'Sactown Bloods'. In old 'Bloods & Crips' fashion, the CD is half and half of each side. This is First Degree The D.E.'s project, so don't expect much "siccmade" style music. Phonk Beta helped produce this album with D.E., so the beats are decent and recognizable(with samples everywhere like brazy). There are no appearances from Sicx or Lynch or X or any one from Siccmade, however, COS and Calico 101 make two appearances for the Crips. Not being crip myself, I didn't much listen to the Crip side although what I did listen to was different. This CD problably isn't exactly what you're expecting. Most of the rappers on this album are just spittin' flows, not so much the 'B.K./C.K.', drive-by on rivals kind of stuff like the original B'z and C'z record. Although there are a few gang-slang terms are definitely thrown around here and there. T-Nutty, X-Raided's protege, also makes an appearance on the track, 'Heart Pump Blue'. A lot of rappers I've never even heard of before are on this CD, just newcomers trying to make it. Calico 101, Pup, G Macc, Devious, 8-Ball, COS, and T-Nutty all make up for the Crip side so there are many different styles to the tracks.
But enough about the Crip side, let's move onto the second half of the CD. Sactown Bloods start off strong with 'Blood Walk/Gangstas In Red & Black', classic D.E. production and interesting flows, not the usual you hear from Sacramento. Two of Fahrenheit Records' signed artists also appear on this album, AK amd Be Gee(haven't heard anything else from then other then the songs they appear on here). I doubt a lot of the 'bloods' alliances are true, it seems as if they just threw a bunch of anonymous rappers they could find and put them on the Blood side. Like D.E. really cares about Bloods, hes the CEO of Siccmade Muzicc. D.E. was raised around the Crips, so of course this album shows more love for the crips then anything. My favorite track from this album would have to be 'Me & my Bloosinz', performed by Killa Irv and Thee. There are only two verses done by two different rappers, so I have no idea why they list Be Gee as being featured on the track. Retrospective look on gang-life by the incarcerated Killa Irv and Thee.
This CD was put out as a 6-Month gang truce in Sacramento between the Bloods and Crips, I guess. I never understood 'truces', although I think its cool D.E.'s doing something different these days besides weird preaching stuff.
The original 'Bloods and Crips' CD was also made as an aid to the truce by Stanley Williams, but if anything, tha Bang'n On Wax CDs problably provoked rival gang members even more, just on wax this time. Many members of the original Bloods and damu ridas have been murdered in gang retaliation. This album had some awesome production, but some of the rappers were questionable. I listen to it every now and then, its a pretty good album to toke to. Wether you buy it or not, its just an average recording of gangsta rap. Not bad at all.
And on an updated side note, I do hope this truce helped out all the brothers in Sacramento, but in real life I doubt this CD did anything but Up the crips and make a lot of Bloozins angry. I don't believe in this truce-thing myself but many others do(Tha Relatives, Sicx, Mack 10, etc.) Overall, a dope banger, even the Crab's side(as the other fellow reviewer would put it)."
