The addition of Lyndsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks was the spark for the rise of the band to superstar status. Building on the band's previous success, the solid rhythm section of Fleetwood Mac and superb vocals of Christine McVie. Buckingham Nicks brought the beautiful voice of Stevie & creative talents of Lyndsey as a singer songwriter composer & guitarist. This album produced the hits Say You Love Me & Over My Head with Christine on vocals, as well as Stevie's Rhiannon & Landslide, but my personal favorite track features the Buckingham/Nicks harmonies and Lyndsey's signature guitar work on Blue Letter. 0 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful. The cover depicted here is of the very first Fleetwood Mac record, a 1968 blues record with Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, but the track list shown is from the band's first record with Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks in 1975. Both records are called "Fleetwood Mac", but they are very different beasts. So which record is it? In a way it actually doesn't matter. Each is among the very best of its style. For late-60s British blues, there is hardly a record to compare to the eponymous 1968 debut album. For L.A. mid-70s rock, few records can top the 1975 Fleetwood Mac. But really, which record is it?
