Synopsis

Album Description
The complete BBC Radio 2 series from Perrier Award nominated duo Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement and featuring cameos from Rob Brydon and Neil Finn. Flight Of The Conchords are New Zealand's fourth best Folk guitar-based Jazz, Techno, Hip Hop duo. Over six episodes we follow their attempts to crack the UK's novelty music scene with songs such as "Frodo", "Don't Wear The Ring" ('Magical Bling Bling'), "Fudafafa", "Hiphopapotamus and Think About It" ("Think, Think About It"). The Conchords have travelled the world and become one of the best-loved double acts on the circuit. Having secured the talents of Rob Brydon, Daniel Kitson, Greg Proops, Nina Conti, Rhys Darby and Neil Finn, they can - for the first time - tell their story... BBC.

Back in the seventies, bowie spent a lot time in space

"i read a reveiw before i bought this stating that it was a waste of money and that you should be prepaired to hate it. i think that person bought it more for the music than the comedy, so if that's what you're after than you're probably already aware that these guys have an album and an e.p. out on sub-pop so if you havn't already, you should look into them instead. However, if your into it for the comedy then i can give you a solid recomendation for this set. some of the scenarios were recycled for the american show but they're different enough to keep things feeling fresh. i'm a big fan of shows like "a bit of fry and laurie" and "black adder" and other brit-coms so i was stoked that most of the other characters were british. also keep in mind that it was recorded with a mini disc recorder and is the quality of somthing you might easily produce yourself."
A Must Have for FTOC Fans

"Contained on the 3 CDs are 6 half-hour episodes that aired on the BBC. For those who have seen the HBO series, there is a lot of overlap in the material. However, even in the material that overlaps, there are some differences that make these episodes worth listening to. There's also a lot that doesn't overlap, such as the American agent who wants the guys to write a song about becoming a woman. Many of the same songs are mixed in throughout the episodes, much like they are in the show. I listened to a few of the episodes on a 2 hour drive and it made the time go by fast. They're definitely worth getting. My set also came with a 4th disc sampling some of the other shows on the BBC (thought I didn't listen to that)."
I like this. I love Flight of the Conchords!

"This was a disappointment. The BBC show material was used by the guys to create the HBO show, which I felt was superior because the visuals add to the charm of FOTC. Overall, many of the gags will be familiar if you watched the HBO episodes. As Brett and Jermaine "admitted" on NPR, the BBC show is about them making it in England while the HBO show is about them making it in the States -- that is about the only difference. If you have to have the whole FOTC material, I would recommend it. Otherwise, it is not worth the investment."
