"The FlowerPot Men are a forgotten piece of the 1960's "Lets go to San Fran" is a great song however there are honestly some other great gems on this CD. As the material progresses you can see that the music was shifting direction. It starts out as kind of light psychadelic art rock, only to become a early formation of THE EDISON LIGHTHOUSE singng syrupy sweet bubble-gum ballads of the early 1970's. One point of interest is the fact that the Flowerpot Men used the Mellotron. This doesn't sound too strange until I realized that they they were on Deram records. Huh! The
MOODY BLUES were also on Deram records, were the FLOWERPOT MEN using Mike Pinders' Mellotron after hours??
The songs were very ambitious however, the recordings are dreadfully muddy. However the album is still very enjoyable."
