"This is a limited 5-track EP by the group, featuring a well-chosen mixture of tracks. Generator itself may tbe the weakest song on TINNTL- it isn't bad, but only the guitar line has any power and it seems over-reliant on the vocoder effect. The acoustic tracks are lovely, and definately sound a lot like REM and Radiohead respectively. Personally I prefer Floaty, but its a tough call. Fraternity was left off the album, I'd say not a wise move as its a catchy and powerful song, not exactly their heaviest track but neat (that comes from someone who loves both ends of their output - my two favourites Foos songs are Monkey Wrench and Walking After You). The live version of Breakout is good as well, the way the crowd sing along emphhasising the track's popularity. This is a great EP, and a must for fans."

"All of the songs are solid, but they're all on the album. Yeah, they are live versions, but what's the big difference. They aren't even as good as the studio recording. If you're going to put out a single, it should usually have some new songs on it. Uggg....what a waste of money. The ECD isn't something worth paying for either. Do yourself a favor and just stick with the album. If you want some cool b-sides, then go for the "My Hero" single."
This is fooking awesome!

"Great CD single. Hard to find in stores, buy it here because chances are if you do find it in a store, it will be more expensive than here. Bonus tracks Fraternity and the live version of breakout are wonderful. The foo just keeps on gettin' better, I'm telling you man."
Love it

"I'm an avid Foo Fighters fan, and when I was in England I had an opportunity to buy this CD which I instantly took up. I actually ran into the store, grabbed the CD out of the man's hand, threw a 5 pound note at him and ran out (it was really only 3.99, but I needed the disc!). It was also coincidental that I had my CD player there with me, and I was grooving the rest of the way home. I love every track on there, ESPECIALLY the Breakout live track, because of the fans and just how so excellently the band plays the song. The two acoustic songs, AITL and Floaty, are beautiful as well. So much so that a friend of mine borrowed this from me just so he could play it for his girlfriend on a date they had. Needless to say, the date went well :) The unreleased track Fraternity has been criticized by some, but it is undeserved. It's a great pop song with a nice guitar solo in the middle, and the interesing part is that Taylor Hawkins, the drummer, sings the song. I guess he's taking Dave Grohl's example, huh? Anyway, buy this CD. They are individually numbered (mine's 04053), and going fast!"
Oh, my god, I didn't know singles could get this good

"Oh, oh, oh! I absolutely love this single! The songs are: 1. Generator (kinda obvious) 2. Ain't It The Life (live & acoustic from 2metre Sessions) 3. Floaty (Live & Acoustic from 2metre Sessions) 4. Fraternity (totally kickin' new song) 5. Breakout (LIVE)Okay, Generator is great, I have new appreciation for "Ain't It The Life" It's a truly magnificent version of it. I never have liked "Floaty" so that's a waste of a track, but it's still better than the album cut.Track 4 is the SOLE REASON WHY YOU SHOULD BUY THIS SINGLE! I absolutely love "Fraternity"! It captures that great Foo sound, and why it didn't make the new album and Live-In Skin did is beyond me. It really is my favorite song (Fraternity)."Breakout (Live)" is kinda cheap, but it felt great hearing the audience sing along for the whole song. The Foos are sooooooo unappreciated, and it made me feel good knowing that there are thousands of Foo fans out there."
