Rose has given us a great gift with this disc

"There are moments in Rose's disc that have finally given me that combined sense of simplicity and profundity that you always listen for and seldom find. I'm not a horn player, so although I'm told that Rose's technique is "beyond impeccable," my warm affection for this disc really lies in the overwhelming emotional beauty of it. My I-bet-this'll-be-good sense really came through on this one."

Incomparable Solo Horn Playing

"These four graceful concertos will please any listener, but there's a special reason to buy the album: Stewart Rose produces a radiant sound from his instrument that is beautiful beyond description. Every aspect of Mr. Roses's playing is masterful (I've never heard trills on the Horn such as he plays them) but his technical accomplishments never result in irrelevant effects--only music. If you want to experience the emotions that can be produced by the Horn, this is the album to own."
