In fact, you will not find a more driven, accented performance of Forza than this one. Guerrini has the ideal Verdian voice with a tone color similar to the great Martina Arroyo, this is only a reference to help buyers because Guerrini succeeds in her own distinct way. She is one of those intelligent Verdi singers! I have elaborated in other reviews of the suave style of the tenor, Giuseppe Campora, yet another intelligent Verdian, but for beauty of voice and style the baritone Colzani wins. He is wonderful and has abundant bronzed tone. Mezzo Miriam Pirazzini is the BEST Preziosilla on record, simply astonishing in power and beauty.



The conductor has fine feeling for the Verdian accent and tempo!



It is hard to find a fiery Forza like this one with truly Verdi voices, that tone color of hot glowing copper, accent, precision of rhythm and beat, and yes - muscle.



A must buy!!"
