"This was my first Francis Cabrel CD which I bought on a whim. I loved it so much I started to collect his other CDs. There's no doubt that he's a talented musician, and I can see this as I compare this CD to his older works. He writes great lyrics (the lyrics are included, and even if you don't know French you can ask someone to help translate or try one of those translation websites). And you'll find that his music is complex if you tune out his voice and just listen to the music. I like all the songs on this CD, but I must say #4 Le Reste Du Temps is my favorite. Tracks #1, #2, and #10 are my next favorite songs. As I add more of his CDs to my collection, I find that I listen to this one less and less. It's true, _Samedi Soir Sur La Terre_ and _Hors Saison_ are excellent choices, but right now I tend to prefer _Quelqu'Un De L'Intérieur_, and _Cabrel Public_."

"I first heard an example of Cabrel's music when I watched the movie "Broadcast News," while home with nothing to do. The scene where Albert Brooks sings along is so energetic. I watched the credits closely to find out who the artist was and promptly bought this CD. I don't understand a word of it but it is one of my absolute favorites. By the way does anyone know what CD that song is on that was played in Broadcast news?"
If I could add a sixth star I would

"An overwheelming album. As a french I do understand why the "words" are so important for the american audience (even if in France we get american songs "without subtitle"), but this musical gem is a must, even if you don't speak a word of molière's language. I felt in love on Cabrel's (and Goldman's) songs - just like Barry Whit's in short - . Beyond the romantic part, the songs are just so great, if you don't understand the lyrics, gimme a mail... but first buy it .... Wait I just play again "cent ans de plus".... God's song, this is (Yoda style)"

"Maybe the best album yet from a great singer-songwriter who has produced quite a few gems. As always, Cabrel's music is tremendously varied and Hors Saison, along with Samedi Soir sur la Terre, show the latest in the evolution of Cabrel's music and style over the years. The album is full of excellent music, although my favorite tracks are Rien de Nouveau and Hel Nep Avenue. This guy is great and keeps getting better!"
