"I was intoduced to Cabrel's music back in the 80's. I had wanted my French boyfriend to send me Jean-Jacques Goldman's latest CD, which he did, but he also sent me a tape of Cabrel, hoping that I would be exposed to what he felt was REAL talent! I have to say, I fell in love with his music, so different from Goldman's (I love him, too!)For all you accoustic guitar lovers, Cabrel is incredible. His music is so beautiful and so is his voice. His music would probably be considered folk, because it's definitely not pop or rock (although a few songs are hard to catorgorize - but still great) I have so many favorites..especially "C'est Ecrit". Wow. What a huge talent!!"

"I was not sure of purchasing this CD since I had heard just a few clips; however, Francis Cabrel has "beaucoup de don" on this CD. I truly enjoy the range of his vocalisations and music abilities. I can certainly see the reason he is a favorite in Paris and across France.

When I mentioned the CD to my French instructor she stated "que sa mère" has a CD of Francis and sings along with "La Dame de Haute Savoie". His version of Willie Nelson's "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" is translated into French "mot à mot" and is quite unique.

It is a joy to listen to his music. So much talent. . . . .voilà

Bon écoutant mes amis"
